A shiny new toy

One of my neighbors found this under his tree!

What a fun present!

Drip drip drip...

After a recent rain I went out to play in it.

Water drops on flower petals are so pretty.

What in the world?

Have you ever seen anything like this before?

I'll give you a hint:

it was found at my favorite Farmer's Market.

It's the most unusual lemon I've ever seen.

They called it a Buddha's Hand. It has a thick peel and very little, if any, flesh. It's used for the zest or can be sliced for salads as the pith is milder than a regular lemon.

I never know what we are going to find there!

Band Concert

Now it's CJ's turn to play.

His school had a band concert in the gym.

CJ plays the trombone. That's him under the "G".

They did really good!

Piano recital

Aren't they adorable? They all play the piano and go to the same teacher.

They had a recital the other day that was just so cute!

And I should have taken my video camera so you could hear just how well they played!

A Jolly Good Time

The squadron had a Christmas party in the hangar to help the families celebrate.

They dressed an F-18 up as Rudolph,

rolled out sheets of bubble wrap,

had an air hockey table,

and trikes to ride on.

CJ prefered the bigger trike,

but still rode the small one.

Then, sleigh bells were heard coming from the flightline!

Santa had landed at Miramar!

The reindeer were awfully cute!

I wish for world peace for Christmas, but I sure am thankful for our Marines making our world a safer place!
