Happy (belated) Mother's Day

My previously scheduled Mother's Day blog was interrupted by a special American Idol event, so here it is, a day late. I love celebrating for more than one day, don't you?
These Mother's Day photos come to you from the San Diego Wild Animal Park's African elephants. This little guy was born March 13, weighing in at a whopping 226 pounds! And no epidural for poor Mom!

He hasn't been named yet, but with him are mom Umngani and bis sis Khosi.

Khosi is applying a little sunscreen and bug repellent, and enjoying a snack.

An elephant-sized hug to all moms out there! Hope you had a great day!
